Alex Jean Pratt is a Santa Barbara County based visual artist, examining scenes from everyday experience that reconnect us to our community and ecosystems.

Alex returned to her art practice, drawing from

• a decade+ career focused on research and strategy in the digital world;

• becoming a mother of two;

• returning to the landscapes of her childhood;

• and a lifetime of awareness, grief, and continued love for an ever-changing climate.

She had since lived in places as varied as Florence, NYC, Alaska, and Oakland, CA—each shaping her curiosity about ecosystems, belonging, how we spend our attention, and thus, how we spend our lives. 

She holds a BA from NYU in sociology and visual arts and an MBA in Design Strategy from California College of the Arts.
